Appoint a cycling champion

Ask someone who regularly rides to work to be a cycling champion for your business. They can be the first port of call for people who want to know more about the practicalities of cycling to work. If they’re really keen, they could do a presentation or write an article in your newsletter about the benefits of cycling, and the incentives and schemes your company offers.

Representation of your business at cycle forums

Cycle forums have been set up in Totnes, Newton Abbot, Exeter and Exmouth. The Exeter Cycle Forum meets every couple of months to discuss cycling issues in Exeter. Most meetings include representatives from Devon County Council, the District or Town councils, Sustrans, Cyclist Touring Club, local businesses & everyday, normal cyclists.

The aims of these forums are:

1) To act as a channel of communication on cycling issues between the various bodies represented on the Forum

2) To make suggestions on the future of cycling in and around Exeter

3) To comment on specific proposals affecting cycling being considered by the Planning and Highway Authorities

Anyone is welcome – contact us to find out the date and time of the next meeting:
