North Devon Surf and Cycle Bus - get on board with all your kit!

North Devon surfers and cyclists now have an accessible, affordable method of travel with the North Devon Surf and Cycle Bus Service.
The downstairs of the double-decker bus has been converted to racking that is suitable for storing surf boards and bicycles with the upstairs providing seating for up to 47 passengers.
The Surf Cycle bus operates 7 days a week from Friday 1st June until Sunday 30th September.
The timetable has altered slightly compared to last year, with an increase in frequency between Woolacombe and Croyde going via Braunton. The bus will meet 3 train arrivals and departures per day, allowing for people travelling from further afield and without a car to visit North Devon.
The fare table has been adjusted to meet the increase in operational cost but ticket prices are still cheaper than using a car and parking fees put together, and of course by using the bus you are helping preserving our beautiful environment. Last year 7500 people used the service and this must equal to a fair number of individual car trips!
Another change to the service, and due to the low number of passengers going to or from Ilfracombe last year, the decision was made to not serve the town this season.

Tarka Trail

Passing through the largely unspoilt countryside as it was described by Henry Williamson in his classic novel ‘Tarka the Otter’ first published in 1927.
